Hey! Art Lovers? Welcome to the Chinese New Year festival! Today, we will take you to see large-scale art in the city's heart at EM DISTRICT, which consists of EmQuartier, Emporium, EMSPHERE, and Benjasiri Park. Here, you'll find sculptures crafted by 12 renowned contemporary artists whom many of you will have seen and know very well. If you're ready, let's go check them out!!
Meet the “EM DISTRICT LUCK IS CALLING….CHINESE NEW YEAR 2024” event, with the concept of THE PROSPERITY OF DRAGONS KINGDOM to welcome the Golden Dragon year for prosperity and thriving success. The event features leading artists BENZILLA/JWON/KENZ/MACKCHA/MUEANFUN/OCTOBER29/POORBOY/PORIIN/TIKKYWOW/TOS SUNTOS/ZINGZING/2CHOEY, who have created the 'EMPIRE OF DRAGONS' realm. Each artist has interpreted the dragon in their own way through various characters that I must say are each very beautiful, adorable, and huge!!
The sculptures of all 12 artists will be exhibited at the EM DISTRICT area, stretching from the EmQuartier, Emporium, EMSPHERE shopping centers, and Benjasiri Park. The exhibition is available for viewing from today until April 16, 2024. Don’t forget to go see them all!

ผลงานประติมากรรมขนาดใหญ่โดย แพน - ฐกฤต ครุฑพุ่ม เจ้าของคาแรคเตอร์ HELE กับผลงานชิ้นนี้ที่ศิลปินได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากภาพเขียนและประติมากรรมของจีนที่เห็นได้ตามศาลเจ้าและภาพบันทึกต่าง ๆ ที่เป็นมังกรกับลูกแก้ว และด้วยปี 2024 เป็นปีมังกร ศิลปินเลยอยากเอามาผสมกับโทนสีของงานตัวเองอย่างสีดำและสีแดง และปีหน้าสีมงคลคือ เขียวมรกต จึงได้นำเอาคู่สีนี้มาเล่น ให้งานเป็นมังกรสีเขียวกำลังถือลูกแก้วสีทอง เพื่อให้ได้ทั้งความสวยงาม และความเป็นสิริมงคลทางความเชื่อไปพร้อม ๆ กัน
A large-scale sculpture by Pan – Takrit Krutphum, the creator of the HELE character, is inspired by Chinese paintings and sculptures often seen in shrines and various historical records featuring dragons and orbs. With the year 2024 being the Year of the Dragon, the artist wanted to incorporate his color tones, such as black and red, into the work. Next year's lucky color is emerald green, so he played with this color pairing to create a green dragon holding a golden orb. This combines both beauty and the auspiciousness of belief.

The sculpture "FENNI" by Rin-Sirinya Puengsuwan is an artistic expression of love, giving birth to the "Dragon of Love," a symbol of the emergence of good love.
The dragon, a powerful and strong creature in ancient legends, is revered across the world. However, PORIIN cannot help but perceive the dragon with a filter of cuteness. With our fascination and passion transform the traditionally muscular and fierce dragon into “LONGLAI,” a cute and round dragon, blending the strength of a dragon with the beauty of flowers. LONGLAI symbolizes love, wealth, power, happiness, and brings smiles to everyone it encounters.
ผลงานประติมากรรม BADMEAW โดย พิ้งค์-เหมือนฝัน ทรัพย์เอนก กับแมวปีศาจจอมกวนแปลงร่างเป็นมังกร พร้อมสมุนเจ้ามังกรน้อยชื่อ เฟยเจิน มาร่วมแจกโชคลาภและความมั่งคั่งแด่ทุกท่านที่แวะเวียนผ่านมา เนื่องจากตัวศิลปินหลงใหลในความน่ารักของน้องแมว ซึ่งเป็นสัตว์เลี้ยงในบ้าน เลยออกแบบ BADMEAW จากนิสัยและความชอบของตัวเองมาเป็นเจ้าแมวปีศาจจอมกวน
A sculpture “BADMEAW” by Pink- Mueanfun Sapanake, the evil cat transforms into a Chinese dragon. Along with a little dragon named “Fei Zhen,” comes and joins in spreading good luck and wealth to everyone who comes.
Starting with an artist’s fascination with the cuteness of cats, she designed BADMEAW based on her own personality and preferences, and became an evil cat.
ผลงานประติมากรรมน้อง DYLIE โดย เจวอน-สรายุทธ คุระแก้ว ที่ในครั้งนี้ศิลปินได้นำเสนอน้อง DYLIE ที่กำลังคลาน อยากให้คนผ่านไปผ่านมาเห็นความน่ารักและสีสันที่สดใสของน้อง DYLIE โดยศิลปินหวังว่า น้องจะเป็นมุมเล็ก ๆ ให้คนที่ได้เห็นยิ้มตาม ด้วยความที่ศิลปินชอบวาดรูปเด็ก และอยากสร้างน้อง DYLIE ให้มากกว่าแค่รูปวาด เลยศึกษาการปั้น 3D และทำมาเรื่อยๆ เพราะอยากถ่ายทอดสิ่งที่เห็น สิ่งที่รู้สึกจากเรื่องราวที่ผ่านมา
JWON- Sarayut Kurakaew’s work is showcased through the little DYLIE, who is crawling. He aims for passersby to appreciate the cuteness of the little DYLIE, creating a small space for people to smile. With his passion for drawing children. He wanted to create them not just by drawing on paper. He has studied 3D sculpting and continues practicing it to convey what he sees and feels from the stories he went through.
ผลงานประติมากรรม “ชาล็อต" ขนาดใหญ่ โดย แม็กกี้-ชรารัตติ์ สาระอาภรณ์ ที่ได้นำคาแรคเตอร์สุดน่ารักของตัวเองมาโลดแล่นบนเจ้า “มังวาฬ” หรือก็คือ มังกร และ ปลาวาฬ ที่ถือเป็นสัญลักษณ์ประจำตัวของศิลปิน มาผสมรวมกัน

มังกร ถือเป็นสัตว์ที่เป็นตัวแทนแห่งจินตนาการ สื่อถึงความหวัง ความเป็นไปได้ที่หลากหลาย ศิลปินจึงนำเสนอมังกรในรูปแบบใหม่เพื่อสร้างความเซอร์ไพรส์ให้กับผู้ที่พบเห็น และต้องการให้มังกรเข้าถึงทุกเพศทุกวัยได้มากขึ้น โดยเลือกเชื่อมโยงกับสัตว์ในชีวิตจริงอย่าง วาฬ สัตว์ที่ทุกคนรัก เพื่อให้ผู้คนเข้าถึงสัตว์ในจินตนาการอย่างมังกรได้มากขึ้น จนกลายมาเป็น Sea Dragon มังกรแห่งท้องทะเล ที่จะพาชาล็อตเดินทางไปข้างหน้า เตรียมพบเจอกับสิ่งใหม่อย่างมีความหวัง
The large sculpture 'Chalotte' by MACKCHA-Chararat Saraaporn, features the artist's adorable character frolicking on a 'SEA DRAGON,' which is a combination of a dragon and a whale, both symbols associated with the artist.
The dragon is an animal that symbolizes imagination and embodies hope, presenting endless possibilities. To make dragons more inclusive across genders and ages. By linking them with beloved real-life animals, like whales, artist bridges the gap between the imaginary dragon and the people, leading to the creation of the Sea Dragon, a dragon of the seas. This creature is like a friend living in the heart of the artist, ready to take it on a journey forward, prepared to encounter new things with hope.
ผลงานประติมากรรมใจกลางอุทยานเบญจสิริโดย บอม-เชิดศักดิ์ เม้ยขันหมาก หรือที่เราจะคุ้นเคยกันในชื่อ 2CHOEY ที่ในครั้งนี้ก็ได้นำคาแรคเตอร์ประจำตัวอย่าง FINGIES ดัดแปลงและแต่งตัวเป็นเด็กเชิดมังกร เป็นการเฉลิมฉลองเทศกาลปีใหม่จีน นำโชคลากและความอุดมสมบูรณ์มาให้ตลอดทั้งปี ซึ่งศิลปินได้แรงบันดาลใจจากเรื่องราวใกล้ตัวและประเด็นต่างๆในสังคม มาเล่าผ่านตัวละครอย่าง FINGIES มือที่มีบุคลิกและการเล่าเรื่องที่ไม่เหมือนใคร
The centerpiece sculpture in Benjasiri Park by Bom-Cherdsak Moeikunmak, or as we are familiar with the name 2CHOEY, features the signature character FINGIES dressed up as a dragon performer. It is a celebration of the Chinese New Year festival, bringing good fortune and prosperity throughout the year. The artist was inspired by local stories and various social issues to tell through the character of FINGIES, a hand with a unique personality and narrative.
อีกหนึ่งผลงานประติมากรรมที่ตั้งอยู่ใจกลางอุทยานเบญจสิริกับเจ้า ZING ZING โดยศิลปิน นนท์-อภิทรัพย์ ภูผา ที่ได้หยิบเอาความน่ารักของ ชิง ซิง มาผสมกับมังกรตามคติจีนดั้งเดิม ปรับสัดส่วนให้มีความเป็นการ์ตูนมากขึ้นเพื่อให้มีความน่ารัก เข้าถึงง่าย และผสมผสานอย่างลงตัวระหว่างเก่าและใหม่ โทนสีที่เลือกใช้จะเป็น แดง-เหลือง-ทอง เพื่อให้เข้ากับเทศกาลตรุษจีน

นอกจากนี้ยังมีการแทรกคาแรคเตอร์ ซิง ชิง เข้าไปในผลงานและออกแบบให้อยู่ในท่วงท่าเกาะกับ
ลูกแก้วประทานพรจากสวรรค์ ซึ่งสีดำในความเชื่อของคนจีนถือว่าเป็นตัวแทนของท้องฟ้า และสวรรค์ เพราะหากมองให้สูงไปกว่าท้องฟ้าจะเป็นสีดำของห้วงอวกาศ ตัว ซิง ซิง เองนั้นถูกหยิบมาจากการเชิดสิงโต และผสมผสานความน่ารักของน้องหมาเข้าไป ส่วนชื่อ ซิง ซิง เกิดจากการเอาคำว่า ‘สิงห์’ มาดัดเสียงใหม่ให้ฟังไม่ชัด และซ้ำ 2 ครั้งเพื่อให้เสียงออกมาน่ารัก
Another sculpture situated at the heart of Benjasiri Park is ZING ZING by the artist Non-Apisub Phupha. He has taken the adorable aspects of 'ZING ZING' and mixed it with the traditional Chinese concept of the dragon. The proportions are adjusted to be more cartoonish, making it an adorable appearance, and blending old and new harmoniously. The chosen color tones are red, yellow, and gold to match the Chinese New Year festival.
Additionally, the character 'ZING ZING' was also incorporated into the piece with the posture of clutching a magical ball. The magical ball was painted black symbolizing a blessing from heaven. The black in Chinese culture was perceived as the color of sky, heaven, and space. The character 'ZING ZING’ was inspired by The Chinese lion dance, infused with the endearing qualities and playfulness of dogs. The name 'Zing Zing' comes from a playful twist of the sound of the word 'Singha' (lion) to be less clear and repeated twice to make it sound cute.
งานประติมากรรมชิ้นใหญ่ที่สุดขนาดกว่า 6 เมตร ที่ตั้งอยู่ที่สวนด้านหลังห้าง EMSPHERE กับคาแรคเตอร์ POORBOY ที่สร้างสรรค์โดย ต้น-เกษมวิทย์ ชวีวัฒน์ ที่ได้นำคาแรคเตอร์ POORBOY มาไถสเก็ตบอร์ด และได้ออกแบบสเก็ตบอร์ดใหม่ให้เป็นสเก็ตบอร์ดมังกรในรูปแบบที่สนุกสนาน เข้าถึงง่าย และสื่อความหมายถึงการขี่มังกรฝ่าทุกอุปสรรคต่าง ๆ แม้ทางข้างหน้าจะเป็นอย่างไรก็จะผ่านไปด้วยดี
POORBOY คือตัวแทนของสิ่งมีชีวิตที่เคยอยู่ในป่า และบอกเล่าเรื่องราวที่ชวนให้คนตระหนักถึงการอนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติ ผ่านภาพวาดที่เข้าใจง่ายและเป็นมิตรกับผู้คน
The largest sculpture over 6 meters located in the back garden of the EMSPHERE with the POORBOY character created by Kasemwit Chaweewat. The character POORBOY is skateboarding and the artist designed a new skateboard to be a dragon skateboard in a fun, accessible style that conveys the meaning of riding a dragon through various obstacles, no matter what lies ahead.
POORBOY represents a creature that once lived in the forest and tells stories that raise awareness of nature conservation through drawings that are easy to understand and friendly to people.
ประติมากรรมชิ้นแรกที่หน้าห้าง EMSPHERE กับคาแรคเตอร์สุดคุ้นตาอย่าง Loook จากศิลปินสายสตรีท เบนซ์ - ปริญญา ศิริสินสุข กับผลงานชิ้นใหม่ทีไ่ด้เจ้า Loook ผู้ที่เดินทางทั่วจักรวาล ได้มาพบเจอมังกรแห่งความโชคดี ระหว่างการเดินทาง จึงได้นำมังกรมาพันรอบตัวเพื่อนำความโชคดีมาสู่ทุกคนในพื้นที่แห่งนี้
คาแรคเตอร์เอเลียน 3 ตา ชื่อ LOOOK นำเสนอเรื่องราวต่างๆผ่านมุมมองคนนอกอย่างเอเลี่ยน ผ่านเทคนิคงานฝีมือต่างๆ ทั้งการวาดภาพ พ่นสีสเปรย์และงานกราฟิก เพื่อสร้างเรื่องราวชวนหลงใหล
The first sculpture at the front of the EMSPHERE features the very familiar character LOOOK from the street artist Benz – Parinya Sirisinsuk with his new work that sees Loook, the character who travels across the universe, encountering a dragon of good fortune during his journey. Hence, he wraps the dragon around himself to bring good luck to everyone in this area.
The three-eyed alien character named LOOOK presents various stories through the outsider's perspective of an alien, using different craft techniques including drawing, spray painting, and graphic work to create captivating stories.
ประติมากรรมชิ้นที่สองที่หน้าห้าง EMSPHERE กับคาแรคเตอร์มังกร TIKKYWOW โดย พิเชฐ รุจิวรารัตน์ ที่ได้ไอเดียมาจากความทรงจำในวัยเด็กที่ครอบครัวมาเจอกันในวันตรุษจีน แล้วเด็ก ๆ ก็หากิจกรรมเล่นกัน นั่นก็คือการทำมือให้เกิดเป็นเงารูปสัตว์ต่าง ๆ จากจินตนาการ ศิลปินจึงสร้างมังกรจากการเล่นเงามือ ซึ่งมือเราสามารถจะหยิบจับอะไรก็รับทรัพย์ รับโชค บวกกับการใช้สีสันที่สดใสโชว์ความโดดเด่นของมังกร ที่สื่อถึงความโชคดี ความสุข เฮง ๆ ตลอดทั้งปี
The second sculpture in front of the EMSPHERE features the dragon character TIKKYWOW by Pichet Rujivararat. The idea came from childhood memories of families gathering during the Chinese New Year, where children would look for activities to do together. One such activity was creating hand shadows in the shape of various animals from their imaginations. Thus, the artist created a dragon by playing with shadow hands, which signifies that our hands can attract wealth and good fortune. Combined with the use of bright colors that highlight the dragon's prominence, it conveys luck, happiness, and prosperity throughout the year.
ประติมากรรมอีกหนึ่งชิ้น ณ ห้าง EMSPHERE กับคาแรคเตอร์ DRAGOON โดย โตส-ปัญญวัฒน์ พิทักษวรรณ ที่ได้นำมังกรในความเชื่อของเอเชียและยุโรปมาผนวกกันให้เกิดเป็นมังกรรูปแบบใหม่ที่มีความร่วมสมัย โดยใช้สี และดอกไม้ประจำชาติของจีน ที่สื่อถึงความโชคดี มาผสมผสานกับสัญลักษณ์หัวใจ ทำให้ออกมาเป็นมังกรที่ต้องการให้ความรัก และความโชคดีกับทุกคนตลอดเทศกาลตรุษจีนปีนี้
Another sculpture at the EMSPHERE with the DRAGOON character by Tos-Panyawat Phitaksawan, combines the dragons of Asian and European beliefs to create a new, contemporary dragon form. It uses colors and the national flower of China, which symbolizes good luck, blended with the symbol of the heart. This results in a dragon that aims to give love and good fortune to everyone throughout this Chinese New Year festival.
ผลงานประติมากรรมชิ้นสุดท้ายที่ห้าง EMSPHERE โดย กฤษฏิ์พัณณ์ สุวรรณวัฒนาสุข ที่ออกแบบท่าทางของตัวละครให้เชื่อมโยงกับศิลปะการเคลื่อนไหวอันอ่อนช้อยของจีน ซึ่งก็คือไทชิ (ไทเก๊ก) ตัวละครทำท่า Tai Chi Squat ที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของท่าฝึกไทชิ พร้อมกับมีมังกรเกาะอยู่ที่หลัง ซึ่งมังกรตัวนี้สื่อถึงความสงบ ความสง่างาม และความแข็งแกร่ง
The last piece of sculpture at EMSPHERE by KENZ-Kritpan Suvanwattanasuk, designed with a character's posture that connects with the graceful art of movement from China, is Tai Chi. The character is in a Tai Chi Squat pose, which is part of Tai Chi practice, with a dragon perched on the back. This dragon represents tranquility, elegance, and strength.
