ว่าไงสายอาร์ต วันนี้เราจะพาทุกท่านไปพบกับหนึ่งในผลงานจากนิทรรศการใหม่ล่าสุดของ ศิลปินและนักออกแบบแฟชั่น จิตต์สิงห์ สมบุญ กับนิทรรศการ “สวัสดี 2519” บอกเล่าถึงการทํางานด้านศิลปะและการออกแบบแฟชั่นตลอดชีวิตการทํางานที่ผ่านมาของเขา ที่ไม่ใช่การรวบรวมผลงานที่ผ่านมา แต่เป็นการนำผลงานในอดีตมาตีความ นำเสนอในรูปแบบใหม่ เพื่อสะท้อนตัวแทนของปัจจุบัน และสื่อไปยังอนาคตข้างหน้า ผ่านสื่อและเทคนิคร่วมสมัย ถ้าพร้อมแล้วไปรับชมกันได้เลย
What’s up Art Lovers! Today, we would like to introduce you to one of the pieces from the latest exhibition by artist and fashion designer Jitsing Somboon. The exhibition, titled "Sawasdee 1976.” This exhibition showcases the art and fashion design work from the artist's past professional life. Rather than showcasing old works, the artist creates an entirely new piece, to reflect the current state and anticipates the future through modern media and methods. Let’s go and check it out!
“Left or Right / Front or Back” หนึ่งในผลงานที่โดดเด่นภายในนิทรรศการ “สวัสดี 2519” กับรูปลักษณ์ที่เหมือนกับงานสถาปัตยกรรมอันซับซ้อน และการนำเสนอที่แสดงถึงเอกลักษณ์อันโดดเด่นของการใช้เส้นสายในผลงานของศิลปิน โดยความน่าสนใจของผลงานชิ้นนี้คือเป็นการรวบรวมทุกแนวทางการสร้างสรรค์ของศิลปินมาไว้ด้วยกัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการทำงานศิลปะที่ได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากแม่แบบลายฉลุ (stencil template) ที่เป็นเหมือนลายเซ็นของศิลปิน กับการออกแบบแฟชั่นที่ใช้แนวทางการทำงานศิลปะ รวมทั้งการนำของสะสมของตัวเองอย่าง แว่นตากันแดด มาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของผลงาน
จุดเด่นอีกอย่างของผลงานชิ้นนี้ คือสามารถมองผลงานได้ทั้ง 360 องศา ซึ่งแต่ละด้านก็จะประกอบไปด้วยการเชื่อมต่อของลายเส้นมาประกอบเป็นรูปทรง บางด้านก็เป็นลักษณะรูปหน้าของศิลปิน แต่ขณะที่อีกด้านก็สร้างพื้นที่ของรูปทรงสามมิติที่เชื่อมโยงกับพื้นที่โดยรอบสะท้อนไปถึงแนวคิดที่เป็นแก่นหลักของงานนิทรรศการนี้ที่พูดถึงการทับซ้อนของเวลาและสิ่งต่างๆ การไม่มีจุดเริ่มต้นหรือสิ้นสุด ไม่จำเป็นต้องมีสิ่งไหนที่บอกว่าเป็นการเดินหน้า หรือถอยหลัง ก็เหมือนกับที่ศิลปินพยายามบอกผ่านในชื่องานว่าทุกอย่างสามารถเป็นซ้ายหรือขวา หน้าหรือหลัง ขึ้นอยู่กับมุมมองของแต่ละคน

One of the remarkable pieces in the "Sawasdee 1976" exhibition is "Left or Right / Front or Back". It has a design reminiscent of a complex architectural structure and showcases the artist's unique use of lines. What makes this work fascinating is that it brings together all of the artist's creative techniques. From creating art inspired by a signature stencil template to designing fashion with art guidelines, including incorporating personal collections such as sunglasses into his work.
One notable aspect of this work is the ability to view it from all 360 degrees, with connecting lines forming different shapes on each side. Additionally, certain features in the work display the artist's facial characteristics. The opposing side forms a zone of three-dimensional figures that are linked to the surrounding area. This reflects the main theme of the exhibit which explores the convergence of time and objects. The concept of having no beginning or end suggests that there is no need to categorize things as either forward or backward. This is similar to how an artist might convey the idea that everything can be seen from different perspectives, such as left or right, front or back, depending on the individual's point of view.
แต่เรายังเอาอีกหนึ่งผลงานในนิทรรศการมาฝากทุกท่านกันอีกชิ้น กับผลงานในชื่อ “Slope” โดยงานชิ้นนี้ได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากภาพวาดเปลือยที่ศิลปินได้เคยสร้างสรรค์ไว้จากเทคนิคการวาดภาพในสตูดิโอที่นักเรียนศิลปะ และศิลปินทุกคนใช้ในการฝึกพื้นฐานของการทํางานด้านจิตรกรรม โดยถูกนำมาเสนอในรูปแบบใหม่ ผ่านเส้นโลหะที่เชื่อมต่อกันจนเกิดเป็นรูปทรงด้วยเทคนิคช่างที่ใช้เชื่อมงานโลหะในการทําเหล็กดัดตามที่พักอาศัย จนเกิดเป็นผลงานเรียบง่ายที่แสดงถึงเอกลักษณ์อันโดดเด่นของศิลปิน ลายเส้นดินสอถูกแทนที่ด้วยเส้นโลหะสีขาว แต่ผลงานนี้กลับไม่ได้ให้ความรู้สึกกระด้างตามธรรมชาติของโลหะแต่กลับให้ความรู้สึกอ่อนโยนซึ่งเกิดจากแผ่นอะคริลิกที่ซ้อนทับอยู่ สร้างความละมุนจากแสงเงาที่สะท้อนอยู่ภายในตัวผลงาน

จิตต์สิงห์ สมบุญ จบการศึกษาจากวิทยาลัยช่างศิลป์ ก่อนจะไปศึกษาต่อระดับปริญญาตรีสาขาจิตรกรรม ที่คณะจิตรกรรม ประติมากรรมและภาพพิมพ์ฯ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร โดยจิตต์สิงห์เป็นที่รู้จักจากการสร้างผลงานที่เต็มไปด้วยความคิดสร้างสรรค์ในรูปแบบที่แปลกใหม่ สร้างสรรค์ผลงานในหลายสาย ตั้งแต่ศิลปะ แฟชั่น การออกแบบ และดนตรี และเริ่มหันไปทำงานด้านการออกแบบแฟชั่นจนประสบความสำเร็จให้กับแบรนด์ชื่อดังอย่าง Greyhound มาเป็นเวลากว่า 20 ปี และเป็นต้นแบบให้กับนักออกแบบและศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ๆ มากมายในการผสมผสานงานศิลปะเข้ากับงานดีไซน์
สายอาร์ตที่สนใจก็สามารถไปรับชมผลงานของศิลปินกันได้ภายในนิทรรศการ “สวัสดี 2519” โดย ศิลปิน จิตต์สิงห์ สมบุญ ที่ สามารถรับชมได้ตั้งแต่วันนี้ ถึงวันที่ 31 สิงหาคม 2566 ณ MOCA BANGKOK ห้ามพลาดเด็ดขาด!!
We have another piece of his work in this exhibition, titled "Slope”.This piece was inspired by the nude paintings that the artist had previously created from studio painting techniques that art students and artists commonly practice. The artist has developed a unique approach to crafting shapes by welding together metal threads, like the process used by technicians for creating wrought iron works in residential areas. This results in a simple yet distinct work that showcases the artist's individuality.
The traditional pencil lines have been substituted with white metal lines. This particular work lacks the natural rigidity of metal but instead possesses a soft and delicate quality due to the addition of layered acrylic sheets. It produces a gentle effect by capturing the interplay of light and shadow in the artwork.
About Jitsing Somboon
Jitsing Somboon graduated from the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Printmaking, Silpakorn University. He creates works in various fields, ranging from art, fashion, and design, to music. Many are familiar with him as the fashion designer behind Greyhound, as well as the Creative Director of Playhound by Greyhound, and he is a role model for new designers and artists by finding diverse ways to integrate art with design.
