Starting with the exhibition "NEOTHAICIVILIZATION" by KNN.FIVE, where artists take us on a journey into the future by bringing characters to life through more than 30 pieces of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, and prints. The exhibition features the talented artist " “Fire Boy (the achiever)” the lead character who will tell the story and history of the future world through the journey and also the encounter of all characters until the confrontation of the two protagonists that will eventually lead to persecution.
Next up is the group exhibition "Come Rain or Shine," inviting us to question and reflect on our experiences from the past year. This showcase includes the perspectives of 9 artists: Art of Hongtae, Chickenmew, D-Jai Kosiyabong, Nut Dao, Thireq Pecko, TUNA Dunn, UnderHatDaddy, Vachboy, and Wichuda Khuntijit. Following that is the exhibition " Panalai by Nittaya Hernmek, presenting the beauty of connecting with nature in its untouched form, and exploring the link between nature and architectural structures.

สู่ปฐมบทแห่งมหากาพย์ของโลกยุคใหม่ชื่อว่า NEOTHAICIVILIZATION … พบกับการผจญภัยของเพลิง ตัวละครเอกที่จะบอกเล่าเรื่องราวและความเป็นมาของโลกอนาคตนี้ผ่านการเดินทางและการโคจรมาพบกันของตัวละครต่าง ๆ ไปจนถึงการเผชิญหน้าของสองตัวเอกที่จะนำไปสู่การประหัตประหารกันในที่สุด

นิทรรศการครั้งนี้เกิดจากการตั้งคำถามถึงโลกปัจจุบันและอารยธรรมที่มีมาในอดีต การขึ้นไปสู่จุดสูงสุดและเดินทางสู่จุดล่มสลาย โลกปัจจุบันนี้ โลกอนาคตของเรา มันจะเดินทางไปสู่จุดสูงสุดต่อ หรือกำลังจะเดินทางไปสู่การล่มสลาย ร่วมจินตนาการถึงโลกในอนาคต หลังจากยุคโลกาภิวัฒน์ล่มสลาย โลกจะมีหน้าตาเป็นอย่างไร การเกิดมนุษย์ยุคใหม่ขึ้นมาเป็นเช่นไร มาร่วมเดินทางไปหาคำตอบถึงโลกอารยธรรมใหม่นี้ไปด้วยกัน ในงานเปิดนิทรรศการวันที่ 13 มกราคม 2566 เวลา 17:00 น. เป็นต้นไป สายอาร์ตห้ามพลาดเด็ดขาด!!

Through the interpretation of the nine personality traits of humans, they became the main characters of this series of artworks. Together, they create an epic story of their journey, relations, fighting, and the connection of history with the ways of humans in the past, present, and future… In the first chapter of the epic of the modern world called “NEOTHAICIVILIZATION”... Meet the adventure of “Fire Boy (the achiever)”, the lead character who will tell the story and history of the future world through the journey and also the encounter of all characters until the confrontation of the two protagonists that will eventually lead to persecution.
NEOTHAICIVILIZATION is the imaginary situation that occurred in Thai dystopia. In the first chapter, “Fire Boy (the achiever)”, who is the lead character, was born in the modern world, but he could access the history that happened in the past. He began his journey to find out what happened and why people had disappeared. Adventures were situated until the appearance of another group of characters who had the idea of reviving technology that had flourished in the past. The confrontation and questions from another side were raised. Are those technologies and methodologies the reason we have to start over today? The story has continued alongside the world history timeline from the Stone Age until the period before the outbreak of World War I. These stories are manifested through 20 paintings, the exhibition set up, and the surroundings to create the NEOCIVILIZATION dystopian world atmosphere. Moreover, to emphasize the scene of “Fire Boy's” possession of the magical iron arm through bronze and fiber sculptures.
This solo exhibition came from the question of the present world and the civilization that existed in the past, which reached the top and declined to the point of collapse. Our world right now and our future world are continuing to reach the top or low point. Let’s imagine the world in the future after the end of globalization together. What is it going to look like? How will people in the modern world be? We would like to invite you to be a part of this journey in this solo exhibition, NEOTHAICIVILIZATION by the artist KNN.FIVE. In the exhibition, you will see paintings, sculptures, art prints, 30 special pieces that will express the modern world and the journeys of nine characters, a gift shop, and activities on both floors of Joyman Gallery, Bangkok.
The opening ceremony is on 13th January 2024 from 5 PM onward.
The exhibition is from 13th January to 29th February 2024.

พบกับนิทรรศการ “Cultivating The Wild” โดย กฤษญา เหลืองอานันทกุล ศิลปินหญิงชาวไทยที่ได้รับการยอมรับในระดับนานาชาติ กับผลงานจากเซรามิกแสนปราณีต วงแหวนอันเปราะบางที่ดูเผินๆราวกับกระดาษนี้ มีกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ที่เรียกร้องความละเอียดอ่อนในทุกขั้นตอน ตั้งแต่แม่พิมพ์กระดาษที่เธอเลือกใช้ ไปจนถึงการเผาด้วยความร้อนและประกอบชิ้นงานแต่ละส่วนเข้าด้วยกันเป็นรูปทรง

Encounter the exhibition "Cultivating The Wild" by Krisaya Luenganantakul, a Thai female artist recognized internationally for her exquisite ceramic artworks. The delicate and intricate creative process is evident in every step, from the carefully chosen paper for the molds to the meticulous firing with intense heat, and the assembly of each part into a harmonious and fragile ring that resembles this paper.
The artistic works may not endure without the creation of appropriate balance, much like the human spirit that can remain steadfast when we know how to explore, contemplate, and be aware of it at every breath.

“พนาลัย” โดย นิตยา เหิรเมฆ เป็นการนำเสนอความงามของการได้สัมผัสกับธรรมชาติอันลึกลับไร้การปรุงแต่ง ผ่านมุมมองเชื่อมโยงกับโครงสร้างสถาปัตยกรรม ดุลยภาพที่นำมาซึ่งการเป็นที่พำนักแห่งจิต ผ่านกระบวนการพิมพ์ผิวนูน (Relief Printing Process) หรือภาพพิมพ์แกะไม้ (Woodcut Printing)

การสร้างแม่พิมพ์แกะไม้ที่ใช้เครื่องมือและสองมือในการแกะสลักทีละร่องละรอย ราวกับการเกิดใหม่และหลุดร่วงไปของเหล่าแมกไม้ใบหญ้าในป่าครึ้ม กลิ้งสีพิมพ์ทีละชั้นและนำกลับมาแกะจนครบทุกมิติน้ำหนัก เป็นกระบวนการทำงานที่มุ่งมั่น ซื่อตรงกับสิ่งที่อยู่ตรงหน้า ออกมาเป็นผลงานขนาดชิ้นมหึมาทำหน้าที่เป็นประตูเชื่อมความรู้สึกไปสู่อ้อมกอดแห่งพนาลัยอย่างแท้จริง

‘Panalai’ by Nittaya Hernmek represents the beatitude of being surrounded by pure and mysterious nature. Derived from Thai-Sanskrit ‘vana’ as forest. ‘āśaya’ as dwelling. Panalai means forest dwelling. Through the architectural structure aspect unveils the balance that places one’s own mind in peace. These concepts are captured in the relief printing process of woodcut printing.

The process of woodcut printing lets the wooden plate, little by little, carved by the collaboration among mind, two hands and tools. In particular, this process is a metaphor for the forest’s life cycle, the process of regenerating life and decomposing. Aside from this, the process includes coloring, printing each layer, and bringing it back to carve until the printed image is completed. Repeating such a process, in itself, is the determined act of honesty with being in the present. Eventually, the delicate huge scale work of art and craftsmanship obviously shows as a door leading the audience’s emotion to the embrace of forests.

“Reincarceration” returns to the nucleus of Htein Lin’s vision: the pernicious operations of state-sponsored power, and the myriad ways in which individuals survive its depredations. In 2022, the Myanmar artist found himself back in prison, this time as collateral damage in the military government’s targeting of his wife, Vicky Bowman, a former British ambassador to the country working to promote responsible business. Both were sentenced to a year for alleged immigration offenses. Released after three months, Htein Lin’s most recent incarceration follows his early experiences as a political prisoner in the late 1990s when he spent more than six years behind bars. The present show, composed of works spanning the decades between the two periods, is a reflection of the broader struggle for liberty and human rights in Myanmar, the travails of a lone individual speaking to the collective tribulations of his people in the wake of the military coup in 2021.

“Reincarceration” is a poignant testament to Htein Lin’s enduring commitment to bearing witness and giving voice to the struggles of his homeland. Through this exhibition, visitors will be invited to engage with a powerful narrative of resilience, resistance, and the universal pursuit of freedom.
