เริ่มด้วยนิทรรศการ “Chalotte’s Castle” นิทรรศการศิลปะเดี่ยวครั้งที่สองของแม็กชา (Mackcha) ที่จะเชิญเราเข้าสู่ปราสาทของชาล็อต ที่จะมีคาแรคเตอร์ต่างๆมากมายซ่อนอยู่ให้เราได้ค้นหาจากรูปภาพภายในนิทรรศการ เปิดให้เข้าชมวันเสาร์นี้ ใครเป็นแฟนคลับของน้องชาล็อตห้ามพลาดเด็ดขาด ต่อด้วยนิทรรศการจากจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ “fall” โดย นิพันธ์ โอฬารนิเวศน์ กับนิทรรศการที่จะเป็นพื้นที่เปิดให้กับทุก ๆ คนได้ออกเดินทางร่วมกันพร้อมสัมภาระที่เป็นภาพปะติดปะต่อของชีวิตบนเส้นทางที่เต็มไปด้วยความเปราะบางทางความหมาย และนิทรรศการ “LUNATIQUE” โดย Naisu ศิลปินทัศนศิลป์ ที่โดดเด่นด้วยผลงานภาพประกอบจนได้รับเสียงชื่นชมทั้งในและต่างประเทศ และ Sophirat ช่างภาพนู้ดอันดับต้นๆ ของประเทศ ผู้เคยทำงานเป็นช่างภาพในเยอรมนีกว่า 3 ปี กับผลงานที่ได้นำความหลงใหลและพื้นหลังที่มีร่วมกันของศิลปินทั้งคู่เกี่ยวกับผู้คน ธรรมชาติ วัฒนธรรมย่อย ระเบียบทางสังคม ผ่านตัวแทนของดวงจันทร์ ยังมีนิทรรศการอะไรอีกบ้าง ตามไปรับชมกันได้เลย!!
What's up, Art Lovers? We are entering the final week of February and there are plenty of new exhibitions for us to check out this week in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Songkhla!! What exhibitions will there be? If you're ready, let's go check them out!!
Starting with the exhibition "Chalotte’s Castle", the second solo art exhibition by Mackcha, will invite us into Chalotte's castle where various characters are hidden for us to discover from the paintings in the exhibition. It opens this Saturday, and Chalotte's fans must not miss it. Next, from Chiang Mai province, the exhibition "fall" by Nipan Oranniwesna, an exhibition that will be a space open for everyone to embark on a journey together with baggage that are patchwork images of life on a path full of fragile meanings. And the exhibition "LUNATIQUE" by Naisu, a visual artist distinguished by his illustration work that has been acclaimed both in Thailand and abroad, and Sophirat, one of the top nude photographers in the country, who has worked as a photographer in Germany for over 3 years, with works that bring together the shared passion and backgrounds of both artists about people, nature, subcultures, social structures, through the representation of the moon. “Chalotte’s Castle” นิทรรศการศิลปะเดี่ยวครั้งที่สองของแม็กชา (Mackcha) ที่เธอได้ต้อนรับทุกท่านให้มาเยี่ยมชมปราสาทของชาล็อต อันเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของกล่องสมบัติล้ำค่าที่เรียกว่า ‘ความสัมพันธ์’ และ ‘ความทรงจำ’ ซึ่งถูกบันทึกไว้เป็นภาพวาดชิ้นสำคัญ หากลองมองภาพเหล่านั้นอย่างพิจารณา อาจทำให้ความทรงจำอันเลือนรางกลับชัดเจนขึ้นก็เป็นได้ เพราะในทุกภาพของเธอ จะมีบางสิ่งหรือใครบางคนซ่อนอยู่ในนั้นและรอวันที่จะถูกคิดถึงอีกครั้ง

For over 30 years, Nipan Oranniwesna has been creating a diverse array of artistic works. His special characteristic lies in the selection of materials and the language of art that is embedded in his working process and techniques, which are without limitations. His life journey parallels historical, societal, and political narratives like any common man, thereby expanding into a framework of human relationships that sometimes may take the form of maps, photographs, news, history, or memories.
Regarding the distance of events, different times, and different circumstances, some things are far from sight, some closer through thought. The lifelines of almost every human are drawn parallel to the tracks of history. There are numerous photographs that Nipan uses in his works. These photographs may not only be presented as mere carriers of information but also act as tools that dig, examine, and explore memories and thoughts that remain unclear and indirect. The artist's work is often metaphorically described as the physical form of a landscape. In Nipan's terms, his work represents the landscape of a universe that allows people to move and orbit without restriction. As each person's cosmos bends differently under various conditions, how can we meet or touch each other?

The 'fall' exhibition will be an open space for everyone to embark on a journey together with baggage consisting of a collage of life on a path filled with fragile meanings. The art exhibition named LUNATIQUE is the first set of works of the year from a.e.y space in Songkhla Province, in collaboration with two modern female artists: Naisu, a visual artist known for her outstanding illustrations that have garnered acclaim both domestically and internationally, and Sophirat, a top nude photographer in the country who has worked as a photographer in Germany for over three years. This collection represents the shared passions and backgrounds of both artists concerning people, nature, subcultures, and social structures, using the moon as a metaphor.
The body of work reflects the imagination and beauty of the nocturnal (Lunar), the only satellite of Earth, as well as the parallel world of (Lunatic), a term derived from Latin that denotes the overwhelming influence of the moon that can cause mental illness, madness, abnormalities, and bizarre phenomena. Ancient Greek and Roman philosophers like Hippocrates, Aristotle, and Pliny the Elder observed that since the human brain is a moist organ and the moon affects the tides, it must similarly affect the human body, leading to the "Lunar Lunacy Effect" or "Transylvania Effect" that was widely accepted in Europe until the Middle Ages. It was believed that this phenomenon caused people to transform into werewolves or vampires during the full moon.
Both artists convey their works while raising the issue of being and non-being through a series of visual arts, installation art, and erotic photography, linking women and the moon. Thin threads that lead to the struggle, the back and forth between men and women, defending rights, the relationship to oneself, loved ones, and social order. They transform the darkness-light into the hypothesis of a parallel world of Lunatic, which means madness, and domination by the moonlight. They question whether this deceptive secrecy, akin to witchcraft, may have enough value and brilliance to open an endless conversation more than the overall domination that occurs in this universe.

Bangkok Archive is a documentation project based in Bangkok, founded by award-winning Danish photographer Ulf Svane. Driven by curiosity and a love for the city, we visit old, authentic places and talk to the people who keep these places alive. Due to rapid economic development, these places are constantly at threat of gentrification, relocation and closure. We consider ensuring a lasting memory of these places an urgent task.

As newcomers enter and new demands and habits emerge, with each passing year the city loses some of its distinct cultural-historical identity. With each refurbishment and demolition, the city's décor is irreparably changed. At the same time, rising house prices in the city center push large segments of the population further out into the suburbs. Hand in hand with the relocation of people follows the departure of traditional businesses and small industries. Their way of life had set the standard for the environment and appearance of the city for decades. Traditional places to meet, eat, and drink with friends and family, or have your clothes washed or your haircut are at risk of disappearing.

We intend to ensure a memory of these places and the personal narratives that hide in plain sight. We wish to remember the city as it used to be and, through this, ask ourselves what kind of city we want to live in in the future. We want to question urban development and the political priorities on which it is based. We believe that the old places are an important part of Bangkok's identity, worth fighting for and preserving so that new generations can get to know the city’s spirit and reflect on the it's future.
