เริ่มจากนิทรรศการ “Now” โดย ชยพงศ์ จารุวัสตร์ กับผลงานแนวมินิมอล ที่ศิลปินได้ถ่ายทอดวิวทิวทัศน์ในรูปแบบตัดทอนสิ่งต่างๆ ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงความงดงามของความเงียบสงบ และความลึกซึ้งของอารมณ์มนุษย์ที่ซ่อนอยู่ในภูมิทัศน์อันกว้างใหญ่ ห้ามพลาดเด็ดขาด ต่อด้วยนิทรรศการ “Red Earth and Green Papaya” โดย นีโน่ สาระบุตร ที่จะพาเราไปสำรวจบริบทอันหลากหลายของท้องถิ่นอีสาน โดยเริ่มจากการท่องเที่ยวไปในสถานที่ต่าง ๆ พร้อม ๆ กับการบันทึกไว้ด้วยภาพถ่ายมากมาย นำมาผสมผสานและต่อยอดจนกลายเป็นเครื่องปั้นดินเผา และผลงานอื่นๆอีกมากมายภายในนิทรรศการ และนิทรรศการจากต่างประเทศ “Cliffhanger” โดย Esmond Loh กับผลงาน 14 ชิ้นที่แสดงถึงฉากภูมิอากาศที่วิกฤตเลวร้าย ความโดดเดี่ยวในเมือง และการพลัดพรากจากคนรัก และยังมีนิทรรศการอะไรอีกบ้าง ตามไปรับชมกันได้เลย!!
Starting with the "Now" exhibition by Chayapong Charuvastr, featuring minimalist works where the artist conveys tranquil views and the beauty of peace, reflecting the profound emotions hidden within vast landscapes. Don't miss it! Followed by the "Red Earth and Green Papaya" exhibition by Nino Sarabutr, which will take us to explore the diverse contexts of the Isan region, starting from touring various places along with a vast collection of photographs. These are blended and further developed into ceramics and many other works within the exhibition. “Now” นิทรรศการเดี่ยวโดย ชยพงศ์ จารุวัสตร์ ศิลปินผู้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานภูมิทัศน์กับสภาวะอารมณ์ของมนุษย์ ผ่านมุมมองศิลปะแห่งการตัดทอน (Minimalism) ด้วยสัญญะพื้นฐานบนประสบการณ์ของศิลปินและผู้ชมที่สามารถเข้าถึงได้ผ่านความหมายของสิ่งที่ปรากฏบนผลงานศิลปะ

"Now" is a solo exhibition by Chayapong Charuvastr, an artist who creates landscapes with the emotional states of humans through the art of minimalism. With basic symbols based on the artist's and audience's experiences, it is accessible through the meaning of what appears in the artwork.

The "NOW" exhibition explores the internal state of the human mind through the experiences and identities of the artist. Because humans have to face various feelings, dealing and negotiating with both good and bad emotions, humans must learn to accept and let go, leaving only the answers that can be found within oneself when returning to the present.

The 8 pieces of work by Chayapong Charuvastr, thus reflect the beauty of tranquility and the depth of human emotion hidden in the vast landscape, through the artist's signature pastel colors, which make the viewer understand the peace, and invite the viewer to think about the inner silence. It encourages the audience to start exploring the deep levels of emotional feeling through the artwork at the present moment.

“Red Earth and Green Papaya” โดย นีโน่ สาระบุตร คือการสำรวจเข้าไปในหลากหลายบริบทของท้องถิ่นอีสาน โดยเริ่มจากการท่องเที่ยวไปในสถานที่ต่าง ๆ พร้อม ๆ กับการบันทึกไว้ด้วยภาพถ่ายมากมาย ประกอบกับความเป็นคนอีสานโดยกำเนิด รวมถึงช่วงเวลาของการระบาดของโควิด-19 ทำให้เธอต้องกลับบ้านบ่อยขึ้นเพื่อดูแลแม่ เหล่านี้นำมาสู่แรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างสรรค์งานชุดนี้ ซึ่งขยับขยายผสมผสานกับความเป็น ‘ศิลปินเซรามิก’ ผู้ผูกพันอยู่กับ ‘ดิน’ และ ‘การเผา’ มาโดยตลอด

Red Earth ในความหมายของ ‘ดินสีแดง’ จึงแทนความหมายถึงวิถีชีวิตของคนอีสานในบริบทหนึ่ง ผ่านวัตถุ ‘เครื่องปั้นดินเผา’ กับภาชนะอย่าง ‘ครก’ ซึ่งทำหน้าที่สำคัญในการสร้างสรรค์เมนูอาหารที่โด่งดังไปทั่วโลก อย่าง ‘ส้มตำ’ ที่ต้องใช้มะละกอดิบสีเขียว หรือ ‘Green Papaya’ เป็นหัวใจหลักในการปรุง ทั้งครกและมะละกอ ล้วนมีต้นกำเนิดมาจาก ‘ดิน’ และผลผลิตจากดินทั้งสองสิ่งนำไปสู่วัฒนธรรมย่อยของ ‘ท้องถิ่น’ ที่แข็งแรง จนเผยแพร่ออกไปสู่ ‘อินเตอร์’ อย่างทรงพลัง และโด่งดัง” - วุฒิกร คงคา

“Red Earth and Green Papaya by Nino Sarabutra explores the various local contexts of the Isan region through her journey and the numerous photos she has captured along the way. As a native of the Isan area, Nino had to return home more often during the COVID-19 outbreak to care for her mother. These reasons, combined with her passion for ceramics as a “ceramic artist”, have inspired this series of art that incorporates elements of clay and firing that have always been part of her.

Red Earth, in the sense of “the red soil”, refers to the core of the Isan people’s way of life in a particular context through objects such as pottery and containers like mortars, which play a significant role in creating one of the world-famous dishes called ‘Somtum’ whose main ingredient is raw papaya or “Green Papaya”. Both mortars and papaya have their origins in the “soil”, and the products from the soil have led to a strong, “local” subculture that has spread powerfully to the international community.” - Wutigorn Kongka

นิทรรศการ “FIND . LINE . LAND ค้นพบ เชื่อมต่อ ในดินแดนไร้กฎเกณฑ์” โดยศิลปิน ชัยรัตน์ มงคลนัฏ สวนบอนไซ คือจุดเริ่มต้นแรงบันดาลใจของผลงานชุดนี้ สวนจำลองเล็กๆ เสมือนดินแดนที่ถูกจัดวาง ดัดตัดแต่งต้นไม้ให้เป็นไปตามต้องการ ชวนให้ศิลปินย้อนคิดเปรียบเทียบระหว่างชมสวนบอนไซว่า .. สิ่งที่เห็นล้วนไม่จริงและไม่มีชีวิต แต่เมื่อเราเพลิดเพลิน มันกลับกลายเป็นสิ่งมีชีวิตตามจินตนาการของเรา

หากมองลึกเข้าไปถึงการคงอยู่ร่วมกันที่ถูกจำลองขึ้น..ก็เกิดคำว่า วิถีชีวิต ‘วิถี’ ของสิ่งมีชีวิต คือการอาศัยอยู่ร่วมกันในสังคม ต่างกันตามสภาพแวดล้อม ที่อยู่อาศัย ภาษา วัฒนธรรม ประเพณี การดำรงชีวิตจึงสัมพันธ์กับความเชื่อ ดังเช่นคำสุภาษิต ที่ผู้ใหญ่สั่งสอนลูกหลาน จากประสบการณ์ตรงเพื่อให้แง่คิด และเมื่อคนรุ่นหลังปฏิบัติตาม ความเชื่อก็เปลี่ยนเป็นรูปธรรม และเมื่อเกิดการบอกต่อ รูปธรรมก็กลับมาเป็นนามธรรมอีกครั้งหนึ่ง

นามธรรม เกิดจากความเชื่อไม่สามารถจับต้องได้ เมื่อเกิดการรับรู้ ปฏิบัติตาม นามธรรมนั้นจะกลายเป็นรูปธรรมที่จับต้องได้ ระหว่างรูปธรรมกับนามธรรมจึงหมุนเวียนสลับขั้วกันตลอดเวลา นี้คือความเชื่อมโยงที่ซ่อนอยู่ในวิถีชีวิต ผลงานศิลปะชุดนี้ จึงเปรียบเสมือนดินแดนจำลอง แสดงความสัมพันธ์ของสิ่งมีชีวิตที่อยู่ร่วมกับความเชื่อเพื่อการอยู่รอด นี่คือ ศิลปะที่มีชีวิต เส้นสายที่เชื่อมระหว่างโลกความจริงกับจินตนาการ ไร้ซึ่งข้อจำกัดทางความคิดและกฎเกณฑ์

The exhibition "FIND . LINE . LAND ,The Discovery and Connection in a Land without Rules, by artist Chairat Mongcolnut starts from a bonsai garden, which is the initial inspiration for this series of works. These miniature gardens are like lands that have been arranged, with trees pruned and shaped to desire, prompting the artist to reflect and compare. When viewing the bonsai, one may think that what they see is neither real nor alive, but when we indulge in pleasure, it becomes alive in our imagination.

If one delves deeper into the simulated coexistence... the term 'way of life' emerges. The 'way' of living beings is to dwell together in society, varying by environment, habitat, language, culture, and tradition. Living, therefore, relates to beliefs like proverbs taught by elders to their descendants from direct experience to provide insight. And when the younger generation acts on these, beliefs transform into concrete forms, and when these forms are passed on, they return to being abstract once again.

Abstract concepts originate from belief and cannot be touched. When perceived and acted upon, these abstracts become tangible realities. The interaction between the tangible and the abstract is thus a constant cycle of change. This is the hidden connection within the way of life. This series of artworks is like a simulated land, depicting the relationship of living things that coexist with beliefs for survival. This is art that is alive, a connection that bridges the real world with the imagination, without the constraints of thought and rules.

JWD Art Space extends a warm welcome to everyone in celebration of the Year of the Dragon with "Ghidorah," our inaugural Pop-Up Exhibition of 2024. This showcase unveils the narrative of the monstrous creature, depicted through the artistic endeavors of two street artists, LOBOBOY EB (Phansa Buddharaksa) and JOKER EB (Chaiyaboon Banlue). Accompanying them is the artist Tawan Wattuya, who has made a creative contribution to the exhibition. "Ghidorah" is open to the public with free admission from 1 – 31 March 2024 at Private Viewing Room on the 3rd floor of JWD Art Space.

“Ghidorah” is an exhibition that unveils the ominous implications of a merciless monster possessing the power to obliterate the world in the blink of an eye. This cruel creature, resembling a three-headed dragon within a single body, takes to the skies, leaving destruction in its wake wherever it treads. In this iteration, viewers will encounter a fresh perspective on the symbolic meaning of a dragon, as the monster undergoes a cunning revival and transformation, seamlessly adopting the guise of a three-headed dragon in one body. This transformation lures everyone into its trap through a beautifully woven narrative.

National Gallery invites you to view the exhibition 'Dot' by Suchart Napngernanan, his first solo exhibition. This exhibition collects 60 pieces of the 'Dot' series, which are paintings. Meet 'Cliffhanger' in the first solo exhibition of Esmond Loh at Haridas Contemporary, Singapore, featuring works that express a variety of opinions about an overly connected society, reaching points of thrilling excitement. This exhibition presents 14 paintings depicting scenes of critical climatic crises, urban isolation, and separation from loved ones. The artist's work combines identities that go beyond the human form, ranging from animals, trees, buildings, abstract patterns, and mysterious objects, connecting and enhancing characters, amplifying what seems like ordinary situations, and leading to a hidden conclusion.

The thrill is an essential part that must be present in a plot of a novel. It shows the main characters in a situation of being stuck, with the confrontation of being exposed to important stories at critical turning points. Usually, the thrill is something that hopes to attract the audience to come back to see how the character will deal with this condition. In any situation that may pose a risk, by prediction or announcement, today we are immersed in a society full of thrills, under too much practice and preparation.
